The 2020 Women’s Care Excellence Awards recognize hospitals with clinical outcomes that are statistically and significantly better than other hospitals nationwide.
Each year, Healthgrades analyzes the quality of care of women during and after childbirth, and the outcomes and risks for the most common gynecologic procedures at U.S. hospitals. Women who deliver or have gynecologic procedures at recognized hospitals have a lower risk of experiencing a complication during their hospital stay.

Healthgrades, a leading source of healthcare information for consumers, found that there is a significant variation in hospital quality between those that have received five stars and those that have not. For example, women having a hysterectomy in hospitals with five stars have an average 63.7% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated at hospitals with only one star.
